Flagpole purchase

The most expensive flag poles are worth hundreds of millions of dollars. This is especially true for larger, more elaborate poles. An aluminum commercial pole measuring eighty feet might be priced at $10,000. This is the high end of this usual range. A shorter residential pole is more economically feasible.

Flagpoles are often sold in kits that include all the hardware. A $150-per-foot residential aluminum pole with an exterior halyard system would come with a flag and a ball. Also included are a pulley system (or “truck assembly”), cleats (the handle that holds the flag in place); snap hooks to keep the rope from clanging against the pole; a flash collar to give it a finished look; instructions to assemble the flagpole.

Because they take longer to manufacture, internal halyard systems can be more costly.

Fiberglass flagpoles cost a bit more than aluminum because they have less wear than aluminum. Bronze is even more expensive because it is less in demand. Steel tends to have the highest prices because it is virtually invincible.

There are many flagpole dealers that you can choose from. You can search online for flagpole dealers or look in your local yellow page.
